Bernardo De Muro (Tempio Pausania 1881 - Roma 1955)

In his hometown he took classes from flute and Joseph Rachel band director. Later, he moved to Rome at the age of twenty he began studying at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia as a baritone. He passed after the tenor under the guidance of John Sbriscia and appearing since 1905 under the guidance of A. Martino, and debuted in 1910 at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome (now the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma) in Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana. He arrived at La Scala since the 1911-12 season and debuted January 20, 1912 as the lead in the first Italian Isabeau by Mascagni, under the direction of Tullio Serafin.
