Adoration of the Magi

Oil on durmast panel, cm. 81,5x71. Framed

The painting derives, with numerous variations, from the central panel of the so-called triptych of St. John in the church of Saint John in Malines, made by Rubens around 1617/19. Our version, of good quality and datable to the mid-seventeenth century, partially reproduces the composition of the large table from Malines. PROVENANCE: Private collection, Umbria.
