A BRONZE BALUSTER VASE
Japan, Meiji period

Circular section, the body expanded near the shoulder which supports a long cylindrical neck surmounted by a wide ring mouth, the two S-shaped handles coming out from the head of a fantastic animal, on the body and on the neck flowering cherry branches in relief, signed 阪本製造 (Sawada seizō, “Made by Sawada”).
