Rosetta Pampanini (Milano 1896 - Corbola 1973)

After studying singing with Emma and Lorenzo Molajoli, debuted at the Teatro dell'Opera of Rome on March 3, 1920 with the role of Micaela in Carmen. In 1921 at the Teatro Regio in Turin interpreted Siebel in Faust directed by Tullio Serafin, who in March of 1923, after a period of improvement, wanted the Teatro San Carlo in Naples as Desdemona in Verdi. Chosen by Mascagni, then he became a resounding success in December of that year in'Iris the Coccia Theater in Novara. In December 1924 he played Mimi in La bohème at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and on this occasion it was noticed by Arturo Toscanini, who a year later would the protagonist of Madama Butterfly (which became a favorite role) at the Teatro alla Scala, which appeared regularly until 1937. He also played an international activity, appearing at the Monte Carlo in 1927, the Royal Opera House in London 28-33, in Chicago in 31 and 32, the Vienna State Opera and in Lisbon in 33 , the Opera of Paris in 35 Portrait photo autographed.
