English sterling silver Georgian tea pot - London 1823, mark of GEORGE BURROWS II

oblong shaped, the plain body embellished with the contemporary engraved motto "Sanguis et vulnera"; hinged lid with floreal final and the handle with elephant ivory athermic spacers (Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758 or Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797). Fully hallmarked London 1823-1824, silversmith George Burrows II (Rif. Jackson's pag. 60, Grimwade pag. 64 nr. 763). Height 15 cm, width 14 cm, length with handle 29 cm. Weight 625 gr. Item condition grading: **** good. Accompanied by Ce.S.Ar. Centro Studi Archeometrici certificate of authenticity (pre-1947).
