American sterling silver sugar basin - Philadelphia 1810-1818, mark of JOHN TANGURY

of rectangular shape, with side handles, raised up on four "bun" feet, very popolar between 1800 and 1815. Stamped with the maker's mark of John Tanguy ( 1780 - 1858 ) active in Philadelphia between 1801 and 1818. Height 18 cm, width with handles 21.5 cm. Weight 590 gr. Item condition grading: **** good.
