Italian silver box with a view of Palazzo Madama - 20th century, mark of RENATO SALINBENI

of rectangular shape, the cover finely decorated with a perspective view of Palazzo Madama taken from the work 'Delle magnificenze di Roma antica e moderna' published between 1747 and 1761 by Giuseppe Vasi (1710-1782). The view includes as stated in the legend: 1) Palazzo Carpegna, 2) Dome of the Church of S. Luca in the College of Sapienza, 3) Palazzo Giustiniani, 4) Church of S.S. Salvatore.

Sterling silver, hallmarked ""925"" and ""* 391 FI"", silversmith Renato Salinbeni. Original velvet case.

Height x width x depth: 3.5 x 20.5 x 11.2 cm. Weight 548 g.
