Italian silver salt cellar - Papal States, late 18th century

of oval shape resting on four claw feet, side handles with medusa head, openwork border and blue glass liner. Hallmarked with the silver warranty mark in use in Rome (Papal States) depicting the ""crossed keys of St. Peter under a liturgical umbrella"".
