8vo, nice 19th cent. ‘romantic’ binding style in havana calf with thin golden fillet on covers, a fleuron blind impressed at centre of covers, gilt spine with golden fillets and raised bands, a good copy, from the library of the renowned Florentine bibliophile Gustavo Galletti (1805-1868) with his classic stamp at bottom of title-page. Some notes about collation and rarity of the volume ms. in pencil on pastedown of lower board, perhaps by Tammaro de Marinis.
On title-page a large woodcut portrait of the author at 2/3 of page (90x66 mm), text on 2 columns in Italian on 8-line rhyme, ff. 37 (of 48), D8, E1-8 (the whole quire), F1-2. Colophon on F8v, here present.
Fourth and last edition, (first, 1531), all of them known in a very few copies altogether, extremely rare, this one Edit16 CNCE 65796, only one copy listed in Italian libraries.
