Second edition (before 1587) of this rare and important treatise on medical and gynecological conditions affecting women by the Italian physician and professor in Padua G. Mercurio (1530-1606). The work is entirely dedicated to the diseases from which women suffered the most. The focal points of the work are menstruation, infertility, conception, pregnancy, childbirth and miscarriage. Each section discusses a specific condition, its causes, diagnosis, and treatment.
