BENEDETTI, Elpidio. Il mondo piangente, et il cielo festeggiante. Nel funerale apparato Dell'Essequie celebrate in Roma nella Chiesa di San Luigi de Francesi alla gloriosa memoria di Anna d'Austria regina di Francia. Rome: Tinassi, 1665 [1666 in the engraved front.].

4o (294 x 203 mm), 19th half vellum with marbled paper on boards, a good copy. Beautiful allegorical frontispiece inclusing putti hold the French royal crown, and a skull (dated 1666, by GIORGIO VIDMAN), pp. (8, incl. front.), 32, describing the apparatus of the funeral of Anna d’ Austria (1601-1666), mother of King Louis XIV to whom the book is dedicated. Lacking as always the 3 engraved plates. Sole edition, Watanabe 916 (not quoting the plates) extremely rare.
