Neoclassical intaglio of Psyche and Amor playing the double-flute, bearing a spurious signature SEMIEL in greek characters. This is a celebrated depiction, the most famous example of which was in Goethe’s collection, which is copied from a drawing by Angelika Kauffmann from 1790.
