18K GOLD, ENAMEL, RUBY DIAMOND BROOCH
enamel brooch depicting a four-wheeled horse-powered carriage (a “fiacre”), details in rubies and diamonds. Diamonds weighing 0.21 ct. Weight 22.6 gr.
The Fiacre — Is a form of cab, a four-wheeled horse-powered carriage. The name is derived indirectly from St. Fiacre because the hotel of St. Fiacre in Paris rented carriages since around mid-seventeenth century.
