A hellenistic garnet intaglio, mounted on an ancient gold ring. A butterfly and a centipede. Globular elements. The stone shows an ancient fracture, the which, nevertheless, is blocked within the mounting. Rounded cabochon bezel. 2nd century B.C.
Intaglio 11 x 9 mm; ring diam. 1,6 x 1,7 mm; gr. 3,98.
