A roman chalcedony intaglio, mounted on a modern gold ring. Manufacturer. The old, bearded man is modelling/chiselling a head with a tool; the head is lying on a pedestal with three supports. The character is naked, turned to the left, with his right leg on a raised support. Interesting work. 2nd century A.D.
Intaglio 10 x 13 x 3 mm; ring diam. 20 mm; gr. 12,74.
