A roman carnelian intaglio. Seated Muse. The female figure, partially draped, is sitting on a round base, which she is leaning her left hand upon. In her right hand, she is holding a palm branch and some ribbons, which are lifting up in the air. At her feet there is a little table, with a jug upon. The figure's face is depicted frontally, while the body is in three quarters. Interesting work, which can be related to a victory. Wear marks. 1st - 2nd century A.D.
