A ‘FAMILLE ROSE’ TUREEN AND COVER TOGETHER WITH A BARBED RIM DISH
China, Qing dynasty, mid 18th century
the dish 23 cm diam, la zuppier 21 x 35 x 22,5
The tureen of octagonal form, the handles of the container in the shape of hare’s heads, the handle of the cover as a flower, the whole external surface decorated with finely painted European-style flowers and geometric cartouches, the dish similarly decorated.
Provenance: the collection of a Dutch noblewoman lived in Indonesia, acquired before 1975.
