A PAIR OF LARGE IVORY CARVED STANDING LADIES
China, early 20th century

76 cm high each

The two standing figures with a fan in the left hand and a peony in the right hand, the hair gathered in a large bun with a crown, the details of the carving underlined with black ink.

Provenance: the collection of a Dutch noblewoman lived in Indonesia, acquired before 1975.
