AN IVORY CARVING OF TWO STANDING FEMALE FIGURES
China, early 20th century

16,5 cm high

The figure on the left side with a mirror in the left hand, the younger figure on the right with a flower in the left hand and a basket with flowers in the right, a small hardstone inlay on the robe of the figure on the left, wooden stand.

Provenance: the collection of a Dutch noblewoman lived in Indonesia, acquired before 1975.
