A POLYCHROME BALUSTER VASE
China, Qing dynasty, 19th century
46 cm high
Standing on a circular foot, the rounded body surmounted by a cylindrical neck with flared mouth, the handles in the shape of stylized animals, the whole external surface with polychrome flowers and butterflies against a céladon ground, two large reserves on the body, one with a scene of three figures seated at a table inside a pavilion, the other with a lakeside landscape, two other smaller reserves with landscapes to the neck.
Provenance: an Italian private collection.
