Vertical hanging scroll painted in ink and soft colours, silk frame

Signed狩野洞春筆 (Kanō Toshun fude) with seal on the right side.

Provenance: an Italian private collection.
Son of Kanō Gensen (1689-1755) e disciple of Kanō Toshu (-1785), Toshun became the fourth generation head of the Edo Surugadai branch of the Kanō School, receiving the important honorary title of hōgen. His most famous work is the decoration in the Rinnōji temple.
