A PAIR OF STANDING BRONZE BUDDHA
Japan, probably Meiji period

43 cm high each

Both standing on a base with circular section, the tunic with undressed right shoulder and arm, the oval face with serene expression surmounted by a high ushnisha.

Provenance: the collection of a Swiss-Neapolitan noble family, acquired in early ‘30s of the 20th century.
