Lucania, Heraclea, Stater, c. 300 BC; AR (g 5,10; mm 20; h 2); Head of Athena r., wearing crested Corinthian helmet ornated with Scylla hurling stone; on l., K, Rv. ΗΡΑΚΛΗΙΩΝ, Herakles standing l., holding club, lion’s skin and bow; on l., skyphos and AΘA. HNItaly 1384; Work 66 (this coin).
Old cabinet tone, high relief, extremely fine - good extremely fine.
