A roman agate intaglio. Head of a young man. The character is facing left, and is characterized by a short and adherent hair, held by a band. Carving carried out by exploiting the fine vertical cut grain of the agate, specially designed on the profile. Beautiful brightness and shades of stone, mirror polished with skill. Interesting example. 1st-2nd century A.D.
