A roman chalcedony intaglio. Harpocrates. The young god brings his finger to his mouth, and holds the cornucopia with his left arm. The attractive sinuous pose refers to hellenistic types from Alexandria workshops. Ground line. Slight wear marks. 2nd-3rd century A.D.
