Cement sculpture on painted wooden support, 3 x 51 x 38,5 cm (with support, 5 x 66 x 54 cm)
Certification of the work by the Headmaster of the Liceo Artistico Enzo Rossi in Rome.
It is an early work by Nunzio, performed in the period in which he attended the State Institute of Art for the Decoration and Furnishing of the Church, a school founded by the painter of sacred art Enzo Rossi, a sodal of Leoncillo and Brunori.
Although very young, the taste for the corrugated and obscure material is already evident in Nunzio, for the geometrically outlined volumes, for the elegantly formalist abstract compositions.
Those were the years when Giuseppe Uncini, an artist with whom Nunzio interwoven a lively dialectical relationship, taught in Rossi's school. His other teachers were Livi, Ranocchi, Lorenzetti.
