Plate


Narrow-brimmed plate with small gusset and wide cavetto, support for rims.
Majolica painted on the front in polychromy open field with "Landscape"; on the right are two trees to close the view; in the middle after a stream on a high ridge of rock, urban landscape; in the distance blue mountains with figures; towards white.
Ø cm. 32,5. Cond: very good.

The dish is compared with majolica painted in "Paesaggio" style, taken from the prints engraved by Remigio Cantagallina (1582ca - 1656), widely used in the early eighteenth century by Carlo Antonio Grue and in his workshop.
