Inkwell

Inkwell in the form of a seated Buddha (Magot); he has a top on his knees with an ink tray, painted in red starry gold lacquer and holds a cylinder for the pen with one hand; he has a bare chest, but is dressed in a large green cloak-dress all with gold stars. He has large gold earrings and a smiling face.
Porcelain painted in polychrome and gold.
Inside the cavity the letters in blue : J . P
H. cm. 19; cm. 16,5 x 12. Cond: very good

France, Fontainebleau, manufacture by Jacob Petit, 1830-1840.
