Antique bone mounted walking stick cane - England early 20th Century, Brigg

Japanese bone shaped handle carved with a lion standing on a tree trunk, gilded metal collar signed "Brigg", ebonized wood shaft and base metal ferrule. Thomas Brigg & Sons, founded in 1836, were makers of umbrellas and walking stick canes in London. They merged with the London firm of Swaine & Adeney to form Swaine, Adeney, Brigg & Sons Ltd in 1943. Weight 240 gr, height 92.5 cm. Item condition grading: **** good. Ce.S.Ar. Certificate of antiquity (pre-1947).
