A POLYCHROME PORCELAIN DISH
Japan, Meiji period


The fine decoration consisting of a dark ground enriched by minute gilded spirals, six lobed cartouches each with geometrical and floreal motifs, to the centre of the back mark with Mount Fuji and Fukagawa sei.

21,8 cm diameter

Provenance: Italian private collection.

The Fukagawa Seiji Kaisha manufacture was founded in Arita in 1893 by Fukagawa Chūji, member of family with a very long tradition in the production of porcelain.
