A postclassical agate intaglio. Bust of a ruler.
16th - 18th century
12 x 14 x 2,5 mm

The male character is facing left, wearing a tenia on top of the head. The portrait is closed to the ptolemaic greek ruler portraits. Attractive variety of the stone. Traces of ancient use.
