Le Choix du Modèle, 1898
Etching on paper, 27 x 38 cm
Le Choix du Modèle is an original artwork realized by Eugène Champollion in 1898.
Signed on plate on the lower right corner. Etching d'aprés Fortuny. Fortuny is written on plate on the lower right corner.
Very beautiful etching representing the choice of a model. The scene takes place in a big hall with huge columns in the background. On the right of the composition, a female figure is on a proscenium and, on the left, there are some dressed-up people watching the female figure.
The artwork was realized by Eugène Champollion (Embrun, 1848 - Lettret, 1901) a French engraver and illustrator, and one of the pupils of Léon Gaucherel. He exhibited his works at the Salon des Artistes Français and at the Universal Exposition in 1889 and in 1900.
Mint conditions. Passepartout included (cm 39.5 x 49).
