Description

Q series, Quinarius, South-East Italy, ca. 211-210 BC; AR (g 2,17; mm 17; h 6); Helmeted head of Roma r.; behind, V, Rv. Dioscuri galloping r.; below, Q; in ex. ROMA. Crawford 86A/1; Sydenham 181.
Very rare and among the best specimens known. Gold toning, well centered and struck in high relief on a large flan, about fdc.
