French 950/1000 silver cup - Paris 1855-1882, mark of Tourquet Alexandre-Auguste; ; of shaped form with en-suite dish, entirely engraved with floral decorations; side handles with winged putto, the final of the lid in the form of a winged putto on the back of a fish. Mercury gilding interiors. Stamped with Paris silver mark for 950/1000 fineness in use after 1838, silversmith Tourquet Alexandre-Auguste working in Paris between 1855 and 1882. Cup diameter 13.5 cm, with handles 20.3 cm. Cup height 17 cm. Dish diameter 18.6 cm. Weight 800 gr. Item condition grading: **** good.
