Oil on canvas, portrait of a certain Vincenzo di Fede, officer of the 3rd Squadron of the Guard of Honor of the King of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, most likely in the service of Ferdinand II and his successor his son Francesco II. The officer in full uniform, with the headdress resting on the table next to him, with the peculiar colors of the Sicilian bodies indicated as "Al Di Là Del Faro" or beyond the Strait of Messina. Bottom left caption, VINCENZO DI FEDE - DEAD AT 3.SETTEB.1859. In good condition considering his 160 years, scattered spots and crackles.
