carving - late 18th century


elephant ivory (Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797 or Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758) depicting a standing female figure placed on a rectangular plinth.
Height x width x depth: 13.5 x 4 x 2.9 cm. Carving weight 100 g.
Item condition grading: **** good.
Accompanied by Ce.S.Ar. Centro Studi Archeometrici certificate of authenticity and by CITES certificate.
