Attractive eighteenth-century intaglio in deep red carnelian, 15 x 12 mm, depicting the bust of the emperor Galba with the surrounding legend IMP SER SVLPI GALBA (for “Imperator Servius Sulpicius Galba”). This is a very attractive piece, of which we could find no equivalent – not even in ancient coins.
