Description

Soup Plate

Soup plate, concave gusset and wide cavetto; support for rims. Majolica painted in blue on a blue beret background; on the front, from the edge towards the centre, large branches with twigs and leaves; in the centre, beautiful "Heron" with a delicate design with contour lines in manganese. On the back, on the bottom, there are small groups of small sheets of beret.
Ø cm. 23; h. cm. 3. Cond: very good.
Liguria, Savona or Albissola, 17th century, second half.


Comparisons are made with majolica produced both in Savona and Albissola in the late seventeenth century.
