Description

Soup plate

Porcelain soup plate
with converging brim, wide cavetto and wide cercine support. Very refined white body decorated in bright polychromy with floral decoration in very light relief with gilding in the petals of red flowers. The bunches of flowers scattered on the surface resemble the oldest oriental designs, particularly the Japanese Kakiemon porcelain. The soup plate is compared with the first works of Neapolitan porcelain by Carlo di Borbone and also with the first experiments of the Marquis Carlo Ginori in Doccia.
Ø cm. 22,3; h. cm. 4,5. Cond.: Excellent. No marks.
