Danseuse Orientale is an original artwork realized by Charles Courtry in the second half of the XIX century.
Original etching after Eugène Delacroix. Artist's proof on laid paper, avant Letter.
Dedicated and hand-signed in pencil on the lower right corner.
Lovely etching realized with contrasting strokes, representing an Odalisque, an Oriental dancer in the center of the composition, with several musicians in traditional dresses on the right and on the left.
The plate was realized from an original artwork by the famous Romantic painter Eugène Delacroix.
The artwork was realized by the French artist and engraver Charles Courtry (1846 - 1897).
