HISPANIA

The engraving is part of a series of four prints featuring the countries of Europe. The engraving shows a young woman sitting under a tree with a scepter in her right hand and a globe in her left, a crown in her lap. To her right is a soldier in armor and with a banner who places his right hand on her shoulder; ashore various scientific and navigational instruments, a peacock and exotic fruit. In the background, soldiers on horseback, and people playing at a house. Within engraved below the authors. The title is engraved on the top, the inscription on three columns at the bottom.
