Description

The engraving depicts the episode of the passage of the Red Sea narrated in the book of Exodus, on the left Moses raises his staff to the sky, in the center the multitude of fugitives, the Ark of the Covenant is also noted, at the bottom right a woman breastfeeding and under her the author's signature. At the bottom of the engraved dedicatory inscription: “Tabula hanc aeream proprio et exquiso Mars incisam Jacobus Callotus nobilis lotharingus dono dedit Israeli Henrietto opus / Perfectissmus amicorum optimo et sincerissimo”.
