Description

After Parmesan is an original artwork realized by Charles Paul Jean Baptiste de Bourgevin Vialart de Moligny, also called Comte de Saint-Morys, in the second half of the XVIII century.

Original etching on paper after an original of Parmigianino. Passepartout included.

Mint conditions.

Very interesting impression representing a figure with an open book. The print is from an original artwork made by the Italian manierist artist Parmigianino (Parma, 1503 - Casalmaggiore, 1540).

The artwork was realized by the French collector Charles Paul Jean Baptiste de Bourgevin Vialart de Moligny, also named Comte de Saint-Morys (Paris, 1743 - Île-d'Houat, 1795) son of Charles Paul Jean Baptiste de Bourgevin Vialart de Moligny. He is famous especially for his collection of drawings that he began in 1769, increasing during the years thanks to the inheritance of his uncle and aunt's artistic patrimony.
23 x 17.5 (foglio), 21.5 x 16 (image), 35 x 26 (passepartout)
