Description

La Ravaudeuse de Cesson is a wonderful black and white etching on paper realized at the end of the XIX century by the French artist Paul Edmé Le Rat (1849-1892). Published by A. Cadart, Paris.

Original title: La Ravaudeuse de Cesson, près de Fontainebleau.

This original print, representing a mender in a realist and expressive way at the same time with a wise modulation of greys and blacks and with lifetime impression, is in excellent conditions: as good as new.

Paul Edmé Le Rat (Paris, 1849-1892) was a French etcher who made his debut at the Salon in 1869. He was also known for his works after Meissonier that were declared to the PSA and appeared on L'Eau forte ( A. Cadart, Paris, 1874-1881) and on The Portfolio (London, 1874-1877).
