Description

Les sénateurs de Kellogg is a wonderful black and white xilograph on paper, realized around 1880's by the French wooden engraver Charles Laplante (Sèvres, 1837 - Paris, 1903), after Bertall, pseudonymon of Charles Albert d'Amoux (1820-1882). Signed on plate on sides. With an incredible freshness of line and a beautiful dynamism, this original print describes the vivacity of a banquet. Title on plate, on lower margin at the center. The original print is mounted in a white cardboard passepartout. In very good conditions, this beautiful modern artwork has a ligt foxing visible on higher margin.
22.1x31 (foglio), 15.8 x 23.5 (image), 30 x 40 (passepartout)
