Description

Egon Schiele (from the drawing by)

Zwei sich küssende Mädchen

This lithograph from the portfolio "Egon Schiele" is a reproduction of "Zwei sich küssende Mädchen ", an original artwork realized by Egon Schiele in 1918. The portfolio, that includes 10 lithographs on Japanese paper (various sizes) representing original artworks by Egon Schiele between 1906 and 1918, is from an edition of 600 copies, printed by Reichl & Partner, Vienna 1990 and published by Siedler Wien. Signed and dated on plate. Perfect conditions. The original "Zwei sich küssende Mädchen" has been realized in pencil; it represents a very sensual and intimate scene. Two female figures were kissing. The contour lines are typical Schiele’s style: faint but nervous. Schiele’s artworks have been considered artful pornography for the naked bodies and the sensuality of the poses. His artworks were often decorated with splashes of colors and characterized by black outlines.
