Angelo Lo Forese (Milano 1920 - Milano 2020)
At 18 he started his musical studies, he had to stop in 1943 because of the war, during which he lived in Switzerland. After the war he returned to Italy and continued his studies with the tenor Primo Montanari, debuting in 1948 as a baritone in the role of Silvio in Pagliacci. Over 50 years, under the guidance of the baritone Emilio Ghirardini, passed to the content of the register, in which began in 1952 Il trovatore in Casablanca. It was also a student of Aureliano Pertile. During his long career he sang in more than eighty works, performing in many theaters of Europe, America and Africa, as well as in Japan. After retiring from the stage he took place as a teacher. The writer Domenico Gullo in 2012 he dedicated the book Angel Loforese - The tenor with suitcase ready under the bed. On March 16, 2013 to Rosetum of Milan, at 93, he celebrated 60 years since debut as Manrico performing, among other tunes, the famous cabaletta "Di quella pira", with the execution of two from the chest [1] . Angelo Loforese died centenary in Milan in 2020. From 2016 he lived in the Rest Home for Musicians - Green Foundation. He was buried in the cemetery of Bruzzano.
