Two French silver Egoist coffee pot - Paris mid-19th Century, marks of ALEXANDRE-AUGUSTE TURQUET and JEAN FRANCOIS VEYRAT
the first with fluted body on a circular foot, spout with floreal decoration, hinged lid with floreal final and wooden handle; hallmarked with post 1838 French marks in use in Paris for 950/1000 silver, silversmith Jean Francois Veyrat (1832-1840); height 10.5 cm, width with handle 12 cm, weight 125 gr. The second with plain rounded body on a circular foot, plain spout, hinged lid with spinning top final and double scroll handle with elephant ivory athermic spacers (Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758 or Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797); hallmarked with post 1838 French marks in use in Paris for 950/1000 silver, silversmith Alexandre-Auguste Turquet (1855-1882); height 10 cm, width with handle 10.5 cm, weight 112 gr. Item condition grading: **** good. The second accompanied by Ce.S.Ar. Centro Studi Archeometrici certificate of authenticity (pre-1947).
