Interesting lot of numerous autographed letters

The declaration of cultural interest concerns the collection as a whole.
Important lot of 119 pieces including letters, sheets with musical staves and pages of musical scores, including unpublished fragments, written and autographed by Pietro Mascagni. The letters concern correspondences between Pietro Mascagni and more or less well-known personalities of the time, in the period 1900-1934. Giovanni Orsini, journalist of “La Sera”, is worth mentioning; a series of about sixty letters between the composer and Giuseppe Hirsch; Franco Raineri of the "Journal of Italy"; Giovanni Canarini and again Gastone Guerrieri director of the newspaper "Il Secolo", composer and conductor Giovanni Tebaldin, tenor Enrico Barbacini, son-in-law Luigi Manzari, Ferdinando Martini writer and politician, thirteen letters with Giuseppe Maria Viti, multifaceted writer, silent film director; the publisher Tito Ricordi, the friend doctor pharmacist Alberto Crecchi; four letters to the conductor Federico del Cupolo, unpublished musical score entitled Absolution, another unpublished "Litanie Lauretane" of 1912 of two pages, another unpublished 11-page stave "We invoke you in the happy song"; letters written and signed by his wife Argenide Marcellina (Lina) Carbognari, and more.
