The compass to the centre of the disc, alla round a series of concentric rings with black and red characters, signed on the back.
Provenance: an Italian private collection.
This compass is used by Feng Shui practitioners to exactly determine the best geomantic direction; the compass doesn’t point the north magnetic pole as the typical compasses do, but the south magnetic pole.
